三日連続で更新しているのだが、まあ時間さえあればこういうことになるのである。
さて、その昔ちびまる子ちゃんの映画で「わたしのすきな歌」ってあったなー、と思い出した。別に観てもいないし、とくに言及したいわけでもないのだが、今日はtdsgkのわたしのすきな歌を誰にも求められていないが紹介したい。
とは言え、わたしのすきな歌はめちゃくちゃあり過ぎるのだが今日は歌詞も含めて好きな歌、ということでFairground Attractionの「Find My Love」の、動画を珍しく貼りたい。これは曲も勿論だが、歌詞が最高である。

あーもうですね、曲の盛り上がりと共にラジオの話になってくる辺り、そういう青春時代を送らなかった人間にはある意味人生の補完のような曲である。情景の描写そして比喩の寂しげな感じ、からの自室でラジオに向かう、しかも悶々とした気持ちを抱えながら、ということでもう胸が苦しくなるな・・・。
しかしFairground Attractionはシンプルな歌詞で物凄くズドンと来ることを言っちゃってるのである、唯一のアルバム
とかも完璧な歌詞なのでここに紹介しよう。いや、曲と合わさると最高だよね、しかし。

いやもう本当に人生は短いからテキトーなことやってる場合じゃない、ってのはわかってるんだけど・・・。でもこういう「わかった！」的な歌詞は凄く感動的である。たとえば私の好きなHank Williamsの「I Saw The Light」とか。

これもやはり曲と合わさると更にこう、盛り上がる。私がオススメしたいヴァージョンはThe Weather Prophets最後の録音のこれである。おおお、何故だ、何故か猛烈に泣ける・・・。このたたみかけるようなバンド演奏のせいなのか、より歌詞がグッとくるのである。ちなみにThe Theのヴァージョンも良いが、違う曲みたいになっちゃってるんだなあ・・・。
ということでなんだかんだ言って私涙脆いし、こういう曲聴いちゃうともう駄目なんだよなあ、ということの白状、でございました。
ところでなんかネットでドヤ顔で和訳しているサイトとか見ると、この歌詞って違うんじゃね？というのが多かったりするので（あ、今回挙げた曲に関してではなく）、敢えて原詩のまま挙げておきました。そして今日はFairground Attractionのアルバムとか、リリース当時私はBiff Bang PowとかMomusとかThe House Of LoveとかThe Icicle WorksとかMorrisseyとかに忙しかったので随分後になってから聴いたのだけれども、これ本当に最高だよね・・・。これを超えるアルバムってこれ以降この現世では数枚しかリリースされてないんじゃないんですか・・・。とか酒の勢い（今日は350缶を3本既に空けている）で断言したくもなる気分なのであった。
